Hole Function on a Sphere doesn't make accurate holes

Hello,

I've noticed since i'm trying to make a hole out of something that the hole dimensions given are not the same that are actually cut into the sphere. I have an object which is meant to flushly fit into this hole with 4mm thickness on the outer ring, however when I did that and printed it it was far smaller than what I've given it. What I've noticed is that, when applying the hole function to a flat face the red is flush with the face, here on a sphere it is not (see image), is there any way I can get it so that the hole I ask it to cut out is actually the size that I want?

Thank you.

Nick

You need to add clearance to accommodate for the printer tolerances, of which there are many!

I'm not familiar with that, how would I do that? the issue is the model not the printer, it doesn't make a hole the depth I'd like it to be.

Model the part with the desired depth.

Are all of your sketches fully defined?

Are there any unresolved issues highlighted in your Timeline?  If yes, then why?

Have you improperly used Move command?
