Hide Body Groups (or bodies in Body Groups) does not apply to "Save as mesh"

Easy to reproduce as I keep running into this issue making body groups practically unusable for me.

  1. Make a component.
  2. Add multiple bodies to component.
  3. Create Body Group
  4. Move any number of bodies into the Body Group
  5. Hide body group (or any bodies in the group)
  6. Save as mesh

The resulting mesh will have all the hidden bodies of the body group.

Hi @mjvaal

If I understood you correctly, then the hide button serves the purpose of visual graphics, not to what your component actually contains.

When you select the component that contains a hidden body, it will automatically highlight the body that was hidden, because it is a part of the component.

You could follow this link to see how to export object separately.

Hi,

as a workaround you can try to tessellate the bodies before exporting. (Mesh->tessellate)

As far as I remember meshes handle the group visibility as you would expect it.

FYI. This is a known problem and development team is working on the fix of it.

Thanks,

Steven
