HIDDEN FEATURE HIGHLIGHT/SELECTION

What's the deal with blind features being selectable.  It's infuriating when I try to select a visible feature, and a blind feature prevents this as though there is priority to hidden/blind bodies, surfaces, lines and splines.  

When I use Mastercam, I just turn a level off, and viola, it's as though it's not there.  

Please please please take corrective action on this.

I cannot replicate your described issue.  If I make a component invisible, it does not show up when trying to select other components, even if it is directly in the way.  Please create a Screencast showing this issue.

Do you have auto project geometry to active sketches turned on? That can make selections difficult.
