Help! Can't do clean install of fusion 360! No icon to launch!

I was using Fusion 360 today and it prompted to update it. I did and tried to relaunch. All of a sudden it switched my dock icon for Fusion 360  to a question mark on my iMac running latest Catalina OS.

I tried to download the fusion 360 clean uninstaller, which I've used in the past successfully but now my iMac says it can't open it. My guess is the Fusion team didn't update it to run on 64 bit Catalina and it's still a 32bit version. So I went ahead and tried to follow the guide for manual uninstall... which I think may be outdated itself because some folders aren't there (and yes, I un-hid the hidden folders).

So, I deleted what I could find following the manual clean uninstall procedure on the Autodesk knowledge base and tried to re-install it. I ran the installer and I cannot find the icon to launch it anywhere on my iMac. I fear I didn't do a proper clean uninstall. I need help because I'm stuck without being able to launch Fusion 360 at all!

After the installer runs, Fusion should open up. Did that happen?

Has the Fusion icon been on your dock for a long time, through many updates?

Can you find Fusion with spotlight, or launch pad?
