Hello,
I have a NGC Haas mill with a TRT160 5axis on it.

/

I downloaded the fusion 360 post processor HAAS - Next Generation Control
/
I enabled the A and C axis in the post processor as per my machine.
/
When I try to use it, it gives me an instant error as soon as the 5 axis turns into position.
/
The error code i get on the screen is 2019 Incompatible Tool Length Offset Used.
/
The errors at line N70.
/
The tool is probed and there is tons of clearance in all axis...

But when the error pup-up the controller as read the 2 or 3 lignes further, I don't see what's wrong with the G43? Maybe it as no value?

I don't understand either.

It seems to move the 5 axis trunnion into position, but then alarms out.

That said.. I think I noticed that the 5 axis trunnion is rotating way more complicated than it needs to.

perhaps the face which is supposed to be presented towards the spindle (z axis)
is upside down and thus its saying incompatible tool length, because the tool can't reach from underneath?

Not sure why that would be happening though

Samuel Lockhart I wouldn't think so, machine doesn't know it's upside down, what does the G187 means?

Samuel Lockhart https://staging-diy.haascnc.com/g254-dynamic-work-offset-dwo-group-23-1 you might find something there, From what I see it should call a position right after the G254.

Samuel Lockhart you can modifie the post as you need it, there is some good instruction on Autodesk website or on Google, I managed to modify one for a Mori-seiki, it took me a complete day to understand it. If you take that road, don't forget the save as the post in a other name and modify to new one...

Julien Charest-Lacombe the problem was the 5 axis rotary was hard coded in the post to only rotate 30 degree per side or something.

My unit does 120 degree per side.

That change fixed it
