Have I reached a magical storage limit on a Startup License?

After a couple of years of excellent performance with Fusion 360, I seem to have hit a brick wall -- freezes, cannot upload, memory fragmentation, upload stall ( no progress shown by half-completed progress indicator ), etc, etc.  Went through the usual suspects and at one stage blamed a hardware fault.  Did a F360 reinstall, but no change.  Searched forums and deleted key files that may have caused locking/blocking, but still no solution.  I have not specifically loaded anything to the cloud, but I could quite believe I might have 5GB stored behind the scenes.  Is there a limit I should know about, and will it help deleting some older projects.?

Hi @jhVWRLB,

there is a limitation for file storage, but it's way higher. You can have a look here: Unable to upload files larger than 2GB in Fusion 360.

If you think that you have exceed the 500 GB data you can try to archive Projects like shown here: Fusion 360 Mastery: Getting Started with Projects, Folders, and Files.

Best regards,

Michèle

Thanks Michele.  I'm pretty certain I'm not pushing that generous 500MB limit.

I did sort it, sort of, by applying the "try everything" methodology.  On another machine, I have another install of F360 {Windows 10), and was able to download one of the offending files and save it as a new version.  Then, on the original machine I deleted the Q folder and was able to download the newly saved file, and things synced up from there on.  Not sure I can offer any helpful conclusion after this exercise other than something got corrupted.

So I talked to one of the people that would know the most about this. The short answer is, no, there isn't a way to determine how much space you have used up. Why? No one has come close to hitting that limit yet, so they haven't needed to develop the interface yet for that to be visible.
It's 500GB of space by the way 🙂 hope this helps
