Guide Rail problems with Loft tool

Hey guys, if ANYBODY has a troubleshoot solution for this, that would be really, really appreciated. Every time I try to add guide rails to my whiskey bottle model, it always tells me that they're not attached to all profiles. Note that I've already tried adjusting the profiles and rails like ten times already, started over and tried using different specs, and made sure that my fit spline matched up with my straight line that makes up the curvature and stem of the bottle. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I do see some (white) points that could indicate missing connections.
But for an assured statement you would have to share the design.

Sketch > Project > Intersect,

gives you purple dots to connect to, without that process, it's unlikely to be successful.

Thanks. I'm new to this too, so I'm still trying to get a hang of the basics. Take a look and see how I can get the rails to connect to the profiles.

Your rail sketch did not have any purple dots,

rails should snap to points in it's own sketch.

Sketch > Project> Intersect,

hide profile sketches and looks like this when done, (connect the dots).

Loft will not fail after that process.

I'm having a similar problem getting a model airplane wing. After choosing the wing root profile and rails the loft tool accepts them without error. After choosing the second profile, the tool shows an error in two rails that had already been accepted. At this point I canceled the operation and started another one, this time not choosing the two rails that had produced the error in the first operation. In this second operation the loft tool pointed an error in two other rails that had already been accepted. I'm not sure what to do to be able to produce the wing panel. If anyone can help me, that would be really, really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The photos in the Pictures.zip file are as follows:
Untitled1.png - after choosing the root profile and rails.
Untitled2.png - after choosing the second profile, showing the error.
Untitled3.png - zoomed in on the part where the error is shown.
Untitled4.png - the second operation, after choosing the profile and rails, except for those that produced an error in the first operation.
Untitled5.png - in the second operation, after choosing the second profile, showing the error.
Untitled6.png - zoomed in on the part where the error is shown in the second operation.

The project file is Wings v3.f3d.

Lofting does not allow for hollow profiles. Loft the entire profile and then shell it to the desired thickness.

A general recommendation is not to add problems to already closed threads.

Thanks TrippyLighting for the answer. I am grateful that you replied.

I've made several wings this way and I've always had positive results even with the profiles being made this way and having several rails between the two profiles. Attached is a project where I used this technique. Only this time it's not working. I can't tell if this is a result of the last Fusion update or it's some sketch building pattern that has changed because all the wings I've ever drawn were before this latest Fusion update.

Did you use rails in generating the solid of the project you sent me?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

I did not use rails as can be seen when opening the design and looking at the lofts 😉

I deleted the rails from the design attached to your last post.

As I had expected, it still works perfectly fine without the rails. For a straight loft between two profiles, rarely are rails needed.  And if rails are needed the amount is usually very low. Less is better when it comes to lofts.

It is very unlikely that the last Fusion 360 update changed anything in the loft tools, as changes to it are pretty rare.
