Grouping components in browser

Hello,

In order to reduce the space taken up in the browser by repeats of the same component - in this case screws - I created a New component and put the screws into it.  This was done on advice picked up in the Forum. However, it doubled the components in the time line.

Is there a way of grouping components and which groups them in the time line simultaneously?

Many thanks

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

This solution is for the Time Line only.

I want to reduce the Browser and the the Time line - together in one operation if possible?

Hello,

Do you mean that repeated components in the browser cannot be grouped.
Or, that components in the browser and time line cannot be grouped in one go, say from the browser.

If I want to show all the screws, bolts and washers in my current project this creates 60 components.
Clearly, no one wants all these showing individually in the browser or time line.

Am I not adding these components in the right way or does Fusion really not have a solution to this in the browser.
Am I inserting screws etc from McMaster and copy/moving them.

Thank you for your time

Peter

1. YES

2. Your statement in # 1: I created a New component and put the screws into it.

   That's okay, but I wouldn't call it a group.

In the browser there are groups for bodies but not for components.

Hello,

Making a New component and putting all the screws into it doubles up the items in the Time Line.
So it seems I can only clean-up the Time Line.

Thanks for your help.
