Getting Stuttering on VF3ssyt suddenly with newer posted code.

So, I proofed out a smaller version of a part a week before new year with zero issues. Started machining the large full-size version yesterday and noticed machine was stuttering between lines of code. Contacted Haas and no luck, they are pointing finger at fusion. I literally copied the program from the smaller version to the larger version and just reselected geometry. Tried to rerun the smaller version in air (had to repost) and it is now stuttering as well. Loaded an order program that we have saved on machine and no stuttering.  So, it seems as if something in fusion has changed causing this.  Machine is 1 year old VF3ssyt with high speed machining enabled.  I have attached file, I have ran first contour path as well as the first adaptive pass and both stutter.  I also ran tool 3 contour path (Finish path) and it is stuttering when straight lines and arch's meet leaving marks on my part.

Hmm.

Are you using the generic post processor from the library, or have you saved a copy to your Assets folder?

The last change on the generic post was 57 days ago, and it was to add Coolant Pressure output.

On the toolpaths that are using Smoothing, your values are quite large, and on other toolpaths (Adaptive) it's not turned on...

I posted out your first 2D Contour with the current post and then again with one from late 2021. The outputs are the exact same..

using geneirc haas next gen post.

I've usually never use smoothing and have never had a need to. I was messing with it trying to resolve this problem with no luck.

I have found the problem. The toolpaths were all marked as optional, I'm assuming from me copy and pasting them. As soon as i turned that off all stuttering disappeared. I tried running with optional turned off and tuning my option stop on and off in machine and it stuttered. As soon as I un-checked optional in the tool path all problems went away. Seems to be a problem that needs to be addressed. I had 3 different machinists digging into this problem as well as a Haas rep. I just happened to make a new contour path as a test and noticed the extra logo next to the original path.

It sounds like a problem with your machine, not the code..

Had 3 other machinists at different shops run on their machines and they all did it. The slash marks the "optional" tab puts at the front of each line of code causes the machine to pause.

The "/" is a Block Skip command. If the "Block Delete" button is pressed, it will skip those lines.

If it's jittery because of that, then there is likely something limiting in the controller.
