I have much praise for Fusion360 and a long-standing gripe. Why is the projection geometry in the same color as the unconstrained geometry??? This is very confusing!!! Can't you allow users to customize colors? Be aware that 5% of all male users suffer from some degree of color blindness (deuteranopia, deuteranomaly, etc.).  If customizable colors are a no-go, at least you could change the projection geometry to a unique color, no?

The projected geometry is magenta and the unconstrained is blue.

Dear Günther, you see, that is exactly the problem. I (medical doctor, neurologist) suffer from an anomaly in my retinal cone cells that prevents me from detecting the color difference. This is by no means a rare condition. The responsible gene is encoded in the X-chromosome, of which males only have one copy. Approximately 4-5% of all males (depending on the population at hand) suffer from it. By now, false-color coding of scientific imagery is largely aware of the issue and has taken steps to address it, such as changing color conventions for item classes. It would be good if Autodesk did the same.

Hi,

Have you already tried other environments (Grey Room, Dark Sky...)?

Yes. The issue is the wavelength of the light creating the geometry. The environments do not affect that.

Hi,

What I mean is that in the Grey Room different colors are used for linetypes than in the Photo Booth environment.

Good point,

2 more things to catch you out,

Projected geometry without ticking the Keep Link is also blue, and requires constraining, to turn those black,

and when certain preferences are turned on as active,

creating a sketch on a face, the profile is projected and the outlines are not displayed, just the Profile Shading is provided.

I am aware of the other environments Gunther mentioned but have no idea if linked projected is magenta in those.

Might help....
