Geodesic Dome Structural Details (Shell Command)

Hi All,

I am attempting to build a geodesic dome in Fusion 360, and I've made it so far as to have the structure, but I would like to transform the shape into hollow networking.

Notice in these pictures that the "truss" structures are not yet developed, as the shape is a solid cup. I've attempted to use the shell function to carve the insides out of the triangular bodies that make up the geodesic shape. However, I keep getting an error that looks like this, and I've attempted to find more efficient ways to achieve the following effect:

But I'm coming up short. I would greatly appreciate your advice as I am very new to this type of software.

Thanks,

Cole

Here is my interpretation of what you desire.  The frames, when knitted together create some small extrusions at the base around the perimeter.  If you drag the timeline to the end, these are removed to create a total flat bottom surface.  Frame is approximately 60mm wide, on each side, and 10mm thick which of course can be changed.

Edit: I personally do not see a way to use the Shell command.  Also, you may be able to do it with less Circular Patterns, I was experimenting.
