Hi is it possible to use generative design for a frame made from rectangular hollow section to obtain the maximum stiffness? or is the whole point of GD to freeform a solution.

Regards Paul.

Hi @paul.slaterMZZFE !

Good question. It sounds like you want to generatively design a cut-and-weld frame. What you're asking for isn't in the product yet, but it is definitely in the scope of the long-term vision for generative design. We really want to bring generative design to as many manufacturing methods as we can, and I think frames would be awesome!

So I can't give you a solution today, but I hope we'll address that use case sometime soon.

Best,

Ben
