Fusion360 does not renew personal license

Today, I got a notification that my personal license is expiring in 20 days. So, I went to renew my license. I completed the form and downloaded the new installer.

After a clean uninstall using Fusion_360_Cleaner.exe and an fresh install of Fusion360 using the downloaded installer, I signed into the application only to be greeted by the same expiration notice.

What do I need to do to renew my license?

You cannot renew your license early!  Wait until it expires completely, then go through the process.

Thank you.

If I can't renew early, why did Fusion pop up a message that contains a button to renew? That's confusing and counter-intuitive.

Just to give you a heads up and prevent you from designing something very important that takes a few days which crosses the period when it does actually expire.  If you think about the renewal process, it makes sense.  You will be using the same Autodesk ID so they cannot add a license over top the same log-in.

Well, it's not past my license and I've re-installed Fusion360 again (after running the cleaner). It now shows that I am running a trial version, which will expire in 30 days.

Seriously, what is the magic sequence that I have to perform to renew my hobby license? It seems that I have to jump through hoops every year.

You are all set, Autodesk has changed the application for a Personal license so you get a Trail first and then it automatically switches to a Personal license at the end of the trail period.

Well, after waiting yet another 30 days, it now says "Expired Subscription". Now, I am stuck in Read-Only mode with no real access to my files.

This is starting to get really frustrating. What is it that I have to do now to get my hobbyest license activated?

I just tried to go through the process of downloading the Personal Use version again in the hopes that my license will be updated as part of that process. However, I got this error message when clicking the "Download

Now" button:

Sorry to hijack this thread but my personal subscription also expired.  It then converted to a trial version when I tried to renew it.  I waited for the trial to finish and revert to a personal one but like the other poster, I am stuck with an "expired subscription - read-only" status.

I have tried reapplying for a personal subscription but I seem to get stuck in an endless loop.  The one time I did get a "download now" button, I clicked it and nothing happened.

Meanwhile, Fusion 360 keeps updating itself so I am on the latest version - I just can't create anything.

I did email an Autodesk employee, James Youmatz, who was looking into these kinds of problems but he never replied.

I, too, am very frustrated at this point.  Just how hard can it be to restart a subscription?

Can somebody please help me?

Regards,
