Fusion will not let me paste from one design to another

I can not copy a body or component from one design to another. every time I try it either wont let me or it will but the objects don't exist. they will show up on the side bar, but double clicking does nothing. no bodies are highlighted. if i try move/copy it doesn't do anything. the component is there in name only. it pissing me off because I successfully copied stuff into this document yesterday but now it just wont work. I have tried using the derive tool and making it not save design history.

and of course autodesk though it was a brilliant idea to not have a phone line for this kind of issue.

Here is the process for copying a component between to design files.  You have to use a component as bodies cannot be copied between design files.  If this does not solve your issue, please create a Screencast showing your process and attach the file you used in the Screencast.

I have resorted to making a new design and copying things over which works for now. but as you can see when i copy paste to the design i wanted to it literally does not exist

In the YouTube video, you are highlighting a Body, not a component, which will not copy between separate designs.  I also do not see, in your video, where you select the component, in the Browser, right click and select Copy.  I also do not see you right clicking in the new design and selecting Paste New from the context menu.  Please review my previous attached Screencast and note these actions.
