Fusion not responding

Whenever I try to open Fusion 360, nothing loads. Not my work-space, tool bars, project bar, not my anything loads. Fusion 360 is super important to me and I work on it almost every night. The client doesn't say "not responding" but shows all the characteristics of being unresponsive. I have no idea what's causing this issue and I have already uninstalled and reinstalled it. Please do help, I don't want to fall behind schedule in my projects!

Hi @Anonymous,

I'm sorry you are experiencing this issue. Could you share your log file? Here is how to get it

Could you delete "Login XML file"? Please Remove the LoginState.xml file and Restart Fusion 360:

Mac OS

  • 1. (Close Fusion 360) In Terminal, type the below command and press enter
  • open ~/library/
  • 2. In the Subsequent Finder window (Macintosh HD > Users > %Profile% > Library), browse to
  • ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Web Services
  • 3. In the Web Services Directory, locate the file LoginState.xml
  • 4. Right click on LoginState.xml and select Move to Trash
  • 5. Restart Fusion 360

Windows

  • 1. (Close Fusion 360) In windows explorer browse to   %localappdata%\autodesk\web services
  • 2. In the Web Services directory, right lick on the LoginState.xml file and select delete
  • 3. Restart Fusion 360

When uninstalling, Have you done with a clean uninstallation program

Have you tried launching Fusion 360 with Administration permission?  (Right-click on the Fusion 360 launch icon and "Run as Administrator")

Does it happen all of sudden? Are you on a specific network?

I look forward to your reply

Many thanks,

Ahreum.

I found the logs and have deleted the mentioned file. My fusion 360 still won't work in spite of having deleted the LoginState.xml.

C:\Users\***\Appdata\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\logs ... (look for all *.log files - logs here when login is unsuccessful)

macOS:
Macintosh HD>Users>***>Library>Application Support>Autodesk>Autodesk Fusion 360>"Custom ID">logs ... (look for all *.log files)

  1. Web Services Log File (for issues connecting to Autodesk servers)

Have you set the proxy server setting? https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Network-Configuration-for-Fusion-360.html

It would be related to your Antivirus program so please disable and configure it and then could you try again?

Are you able to open the preferences option? I had resolved it after turning off the option. However, I'm not sure whether this issue is related to it.
