Fusion crashes multiple times a day. And it's so freaking slow! I am waiting more than I am working! Fusion is crap!

I'm sorry that you're having problems with Fusion.  Can you offer some more specific examples of what you are seeing, and what you are doing when you experience these issues?  Also, can you share some information on your system and working environment?  Maybe the experts here can help you work through these things and get you working.

I am running on a 9-year old computer and not experiencing the issues that you describe.

The obvious questions:

What are your system specs?

Can you Attach a typical file that exhibits this behavior?

Can you create a Screencast Recording of the behavior?

Have you filled out the crash reports?

Pretty much anything I do I have to wait for the beach ball of death to go away. The new Fusion repair tool didn't help and the behavior hasn't changed from when this was a brand new machine so an OS reinstall isn't going to do anything.

Hi,

Unfortunately, just like @chuck2CVHC , you do not provide a specific example for a reasonable statement.

Like that would make a difference.

I am not seeing these issues on my 9 year old machine. When I examined a file you posted here recently - based on the modeling techniques you used in that file I am not surprised that you are experiencing issues.
Would you like to work with a particular file on a path towards achieving robust, predictable and efficient geometry?

I think it will make a difference.

I checked for crash reports from you and didn't find any in the last 12 months. If you see the crash dialog, please do send in the reports because they really help with product stability efforts.

Hi,

@chuck2CVHC  and you spread here generalities without substance.

What modeling techniques did I use? I don't use Fusion to model, I use it for CAM.

Fusion doesn't just hang on that one file. It hangs on simple files too. Simple unedited files. I could import a box and Fusion would hang. The "modeling techniques" I used on that one file explain why Fusion hangs on every other file as well?

Then I suggest you post the problems in the manufacturing section of this forum.

Another suggestion is to stop participating in every thread with a negative attitude and without substance.

Unless, of course you want to be labeled a forum troll!

"I could import a box and Fusion would hang."

Can you demonstrate this?  If you are truly experiencing a hang on an imported box, then something might be wrong in your setup.  If so, we'd like to try to help diagnose that.

Hey, any idea what modeling techniques I used that would cause these beach balls of death?

No, but you are not modeling in that video, so this is probably better suited for the Manufacturing section of the Forum.

I also noticed that all the graphics effects are on. It will speed up at least a little after turning off the effects, which add nothing to tool paths.

Tried opening a file I worked on yesterday. After 30 minutes Fusion hung 168 times. The file still won't open.
