Fusion is getting stuck randomly during simple sketch commands

Fusion is getting stuck during simple sketch commands, during exiting and entering sketches, edit feature command etc.

it gets stuck for minutes and then crashes but sometimes it resumes

i'm attaching a screen recording here you can find the task manager at the end of the video.

It started the past week and i feel like its getting worse now..

@ID01C2PNH

Hello and welcome.  Has this problem been all with the same file, or with any Fusion design you work on?

please share the this design here.  While adding a line may seem "simple", if the sketch itself is very large, the entire sketch solve time can take a very long time.  Even adding a "simple" line causes the entire sketch to solve.  Most of the time, you can simplify sketches by splitting them into multiple sketches, removing patterns (do the patterns in solid), etc.

@ID01C2PNH - can you share just this sketch?  That is, if you copy all the geometry in this sketch, and paste it into a new design, do you also see the slowness?  If so, then can you share just that design here?

I saved the sketch as .dxf and opened it in another window, but now all the constraints and dimensioning are lost

but for the sake of testing it i tried giving it some constraints and did some extrusions its not getting stuck now.

as for the previous design files..it had some unwanted components and bodies so i removed everything and kept just 9 bodies and 6 sketches..its still getting stuck frequently

I can send the design to your mail id if it helps solve the problem faster.

yes, you can send it to me at jeff.strater@autodesk.com.  But, what I was suggesting was not exporting via DXF (which does strip out constraints and dimensions), but this workflow:

  1. open your design
  2. edit the problem sketch
  3. select all the geometry in that sketch (area select)
  4. Copy
  5. Create a new design
  6. create a new sketch
  7. Paste
  8. Exit sketch
  9. Save

export that design as an F3D, and post it here

I've send the whole file via mail to  jeff.strater@autodesk.com from saheem@thebluarmor.com

, please check it out and let me know what can be done to rectify this.

also, my fusion ram usage is from 8- 15 GB, is this normal ?
