Fusion Freezes after closing file

Fusion freezes for more than a minute every time I close a assembly file after saving it. Normal files seem to close normally. Overall fusion seems to be running pretty slow and buggy as well. I've made sure my Gforce driver is updated, but that didn't change much.

Also if I try to shut down fusion it also keeps telling me I have 2 jobs remaining even though there aren't any.

I've tried clearing the cache but he still keeps saying it.

@Chronix_07 We can certainly look into why it is slow but would like to understand more about the buggy part. Can you elaborate on what kind of issues you are facing as buggy?

Regarding the jobs remains, can you please do the below?

1. Close Fusion and ensure that task manager is no showing any Fusion.exe
2. Go to Add/remove programs - Autodesk Fusion - MODIFY
3. This will launch the Fusion service utility
4. Run the Reset Fusion
5. launch Fusion again and close it immediately
6. Does it still show the two files remaining message?

Hello Rajkumar,

I've tried what you said and it solved the problem with the job remains. Thanks, I will keep the reset fusion in my problem solving toolkit from now on.

I will elaborate on the different bugs I encounter.

There's some issues with the graphics that don't update properly when I update parameters. (This seems to happen mostly in configured designs). This seems to go away if I save, close and reopen the model.

(sorry about the background music 😥)

Another small problem is when I insert an copied component from another file into a manufacturing model it automatically seems to hit enter after copying it and I cant move it when as I normally can. Not really a big issue but maybe worth reporting.

And as I mentioned before it takes assembly files over a minute to close after I saved it and everything got uploaded.

This is especially time consuming when working on a lot of different models at the same time.

For the rest I've been having issues with edit in place for the past three months, It crashes every time I try to save multiple designs at once. This I already reported a couple months ago and normally they should be working on it.

Today I tried edit in place to see if the problem might have been fixed in the mean time but now Fusion even crashed when I was inside the EIP environment and I was editing a parameter in a sketch...

I can't use my normal workflow because I need to do some workarounds for the EIP issue and on top of that these other issues slow me down even more. So the combination of all these things together make the user experience feel very buggy and wonky. I'm doing a lot of saves because I'm paranoid fusion might crash of freeze up at any moment.

I hope this explains a litle more about what I encounter as buggy.

Grtz,

Stan

@Chronix_07 Thank you for calling out all of the problems that you have been encountering. This is in various areas of Fusion and hence I am going to direct this to different teams. I will report back on a summary once I have had a change to talk with our engineering team.
