Fusion Crashing Due to External Component Updates: Time to Prioritize Customer Needs

Our team has been grappling with Fusion crashes caused by updates to external components, making it impossible for us to continue our projects for several days now. The issue persists despite attempting numerous troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling, copying, saving new files, downloading, deleting external components, and re-importing.

It's become increasingly clear that the Autodesk file system is severely compromised, and this isn't the first time we've experienced such disruptions. As dedicated users, it's disheartening to see Autodesk investing in areas like generative design and Pikes Peak racing rather than focusing on core functionality and customer support.

Generative design, for example, seems more like a novelty than a genuinely useful tool. I've consistently outperformed it in weight-to-stiffness ratio with simple, hand-drawn tube designs that take five minutes to complete.

We urge Autodesk to concentrate on refining its core program before diverting resources to secondary pursuits. Additionally, it's crucial to address customer concerns about data privacy. We're reluctant to share our data, and it's high time Autodesk learned to resolve issues without relying on customer information.

After two full days of debugging and trying all the possible workarounds, I managed to source the problem. The root cause of this problem was another file in our project that was not uploading constantly and claimed it was in use. This file, even though it was not related to others, blocked other files from updating. I think trying to replace the file with a copy of itself released something, and then I could delete it on the web.

The file system is not very strong, and I often have problems with it. I would like to have a more stable approach to work with. After all, I do not work at Autodesk, so my job is not to hang out with the "community" to solve an apparent bug with the system. I could not work on our own project for one week, but instead, I spent two full days debugging Autodesk's issues. Autodesk could do a better job with 4,39B revenue and 22% profit.

It was too early to celebrate. Only one file started working, and the rest can't still update. We need to begin down-versioning all of them one by one.
