Fusion crashes when we try to change the component of an extrusion

It is very easy to create a new body from an extrusion in the wrong component, for example in the root component.

Then, when you realize this mistake afterwards, it is a pain to fix that despite it is a parametric software !

I tried to edit the extrusion and click on the right component to activate it. But fusion just crashes each time...

This is my major concern to Fusion, you cannot repair things, just prune your history tree and restart from scratch since the origin of what you want to change.  It would be faster to use an API and a script where you can edit what you want !

See disabled Extrude1 (violet/cyan) after Extrude5 (cyan) which is in the right component.

Tried to fix from V2 to V4, recreated sketch 4 in the right component, then Extrude1 changed from violet to violet/cyan.

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no download permission.
If it is because you are using a personal license, choose this way:
File > export > save as f3d on local drive > attach to post.
Otherwise activate the permission.

It is amazing to discover such flaws, Fusion creates some unbreakable references to an object in the history. The only solution is to restart from scratch.

The extrusion is linked to the component at the creation.

The nut is linked to the extrusion, you cannot edit that.

And so on....
