Fusion corrupts recovery file of whatever I'm working on at the time of crash.

This is now the second time this has happened for me.
After the debacle yesterday I resigned myself to just re-doing all of my work on the piece I'm working on. That said I'm a full day in and fusion didn't like a chamfer or a fillet I was trying to apply and froze up, and then crashed. This isn't an uncommon occurrence for me (I wish it was.). That said usually after I reboot the recovery files are fine or I saved sometime within the 5minute window (I hit ctrl-s usually after any big change so I'm not relying on auto recovery.)
That said I think I figured out what's been going wrong, and wanted to get thoughts because it's ridiculous that this has just suddenly started happening the past two days.
I have poor internet it takes me about a half hour+ to upload a 200mb file, even more so on fusions files. Everytime I hit ctrl-s that queues up a version of the file to be uploaded to the cloud. More saves + more versions more things trying to upload (I'm not sure how auto-recovery files are handled if they're local or not so I'm not sure why that corrupts if they're local.). So when fusion finally does crash it seems to clear the queue of whatever file versions I've got queued. On top of corrupting the autorecovery.
I can PM my logs, and the recovery file I have (this one actually being the file-size it's supposed to be, so seemingly recoverable.)
It still baffles me that I can't just store my files locally. I understand the benefits of the cloud but for someone that doesn't have access to decent internet, fusions really starting to put a lot of stress on my deadlines for this month, which could just be avoided entirely with a toggle to save files locally.
Hopefully we can recover my files.
