Hi there.

For the last two weeks or so, fusion has been asking my account and password each time i start it.

Is that expected?

Have a great day.

Can you confirm you have Autodesk Screencast installed?

Hi @Phil.E

I confirm it is installed. It might not run all the time but it is there.

If you have any other hint or any test to perform, please say so and i'll execute.

Have a nice day.

Hi @Phil.E

Indeed, that works.

Am i in "danger" of seeing this behavior again if i install screencast again? Otherwise, is that a bug that is planned to be squashed?

Have a nice day.

Yes this will repeat if you install Screencast again. This is catching attention.

Workarounds:

1. Don't shut the Fusion application to avoid the login

2. Or login each time you start Fusion

Hi @Phil.E

Thanks for the report.

I hope that this will be taken in account seriously. If in order to (less) painlessly use the tools i pay for, i have to avoid using one other important tool i pay for, i hope people in charge will understand how foolish that would look in the not-so-long term.

Autodesk is pushing a lot of features, this is great, i love it. However, i fear that it is detrimental to bug testing and stabilisation of base features. I can not pass a working day without crossing a clearly unfinished/unpolished feature, to having a bug from not important to crucial (like thrashing a nice stack of boards because of a short in the generated gerbers)

So, not only i will hope they correct, but i over all hope testing will be greatly stepped up.

I can handle daily hassle, but much less when loosing real money and time.

We are both loosing money on your quality issues. I would prefer you invest more in it (before release) and if that means increasing license cost, i'm all for it. Let it be said.

Have a great day.

Thanks the Screencast team is looking at the issue.

And just FYI, Autodesk Screencast is a free application/service. I don't want you to think you are paying for it when it's causing problems. I hope you understand. Thanks for all the feedback.

Hi @Phil.E

Well, if people doing this application are paid in any form by autodesk, my license fee is part of the money this company uses to do so. Just like my taxes pay for cops.

There is not such thing as a free thing... I just pay for those that will get it for free. (and even that "for free" is debatable)

I did not mean that my fusion license implied a screencast one, which is where i might have been imprecise. I admit.

Have a nice day.

I do not have Screencast installed nor had it installed before and have the same issue on one of my Intel Mac Computers (12.4).

I already did clean uninstall and installed it many times. Furthermore, I also rest my password and disabled two-factor authentication, but the issue happens daily.
