Fusion 360 works on one machine and stuck in offline in another

Hi

I have two machines: laptop and desktop. The laptop always in offline mode. The desktop works. If I shut down Fusion 360 in laptop and start from my desktop it still complains that the laptop must be shut down even I if closed it prior to starting another machine. I reinstalled the software, but it did not help.

Thanks, vadim

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks for posting!

If I understand correctly, you receive an "Active sessions exceeded" warning on your desktop despite the fact that Fusion 360 on your other machine (laptop) is stuck in the offline mode. If so, it seems like Fusion 360 still recognises that you're logged in on another machine.

Try the following:

  1. Close Fusion 360 on the desktop
  2. On your laptop, go to the following filepath: %localappdata%
  3. Right-click the folder "Autodesk" -> Properties
  4. Make sure that the folder is NOT marked as Hidden
  5. Restart Fusion 360 on the laptop.

If this does not help, could you send me the Fusion 360 diagnostic log files from your laptop? Go to the question mark in the top right corner -> Support and Diagnostics -> Diagnostic Log Files and send me the generated ZIP archive.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Anonymous,

it seems like the log file has not been attached. Could you try again?

Thanks!
