Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting. I think we'll need to gather a little more information to troubleshoot this problem effectively.

  1. Are you receiving any error messages when attempting to launch Fusion 360? If so, please provide a screenshot of any messaging you are seeing.
  2. Has Fusion run on this system before?
  3. Is your network set up to run Fusion 360? You can check your configuration against our guide at this link.

If you are not seeing any error messages, I would begin troubleshooting by checking your task manager for duplicate "fusion360.exe" and "fusionlauncher.exe" processes. Ending all processes by these names and then attempting to launch Fusion should get it working.

If this does not help, please provide screenshots of any error messages and your installation, application, and web services log files (you can email them to me directly at paul.clauss@autodesk.com) and we will go from there.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for sending the screenshot over. That dialog is to submit a crash report to Autodesk rather than a specific error message, but it may be helpful regardless. Please continue to submit crash reports whenever you are prompted to do so.

From your crash reports, it does look like you are consistently crashing on startup. I would recommend ensuring your graphics drivers are fully up-to-date - outdated drivers can often cause crashes in Fusion 360. Please check your drivers and update as necessary.

I would also be curious to know if Fusion will launch if you boot up Windows in safe mode - please let me know if it will. If it will, this is usually indicative of other processes on your computer interfering with Fusion 360.

I hope this helps! If you continue to have problems, please email me your log files (as described in my previous post) and include a link to this thread in your email. I'm happy to have a look.

I'm running Windows 10 in insider mode..

I have to admit I don't use Fusion 360 that much but I simply expect it to start in a stable fashion.

all my drivers are up to date, nothing weird is going on on my PC, even re-installed Fusion360.

but the same bug keeps hitting me (blue circle turns for a short while) and then the fusionlauncher and Fusion360 only appear as a one liners in the taskmanager... without me having access to it.

Is there anything I can do to help you guys stabilize this ?

Having the same exact issue.  Fusion 360 just stoped working.... perhaps after the last windows update.

I tried reinstalling boith Fusion 360 and NVidia drivers.  The "loading" cursor spiins for a few seconds then nothing.  Tassk manager shows one copy of Autodesk Fusion 360 and FusionLauncher.exe but never opens.   Not even the splash screen.

Looks like I have the same problem. Reinstalling didn't help. Probably there is a problem with this program in insider preview, but why? I'm using a student version and I'm happy that it's free, I wouldn't pay for this unstable ****.

Same problem here:

"Autodesk Fusion 360" appears in Windows Task Manager - otherwise nothing happens.

Attempted manual uninstall, Fusion 360 Cleaner, and several reinstalls.

I'm having this exact issue -- Windows Insider build 19041.1, AutoDesk Fusion and Fusion Launcher show in the Activity Monitor, but nothing ever appears on the screen, and both exe's have 0 CPU usage.

I am having the same issue. Update graphics drivers, restarted PC and also tried running as administrator. The app doesn't load, but shows in task manager.

I am having the same issue. I am also running Windows Insider. Fusion 360 was working up until the last update or two? The same as others, I do not run Fusion 360 daily so I cannot pinpoint the exact time this issue occurred. I uninstalled, reinstalled. Nothing. As with others, Autodesk Fusion 360 shows up in Task Manager (only this one application, not the Launcher). The program does not show up on the screen nor does it show up in the Task Bar. When I went to uninstall Fusion, Windows did say that the application was running so I had to open Task Manager and End Task in order to uninstall, reboot, reinstall. Still, nothing. This issue can be seen from the attached screen shot. It seems that enough people have already reported this issue that Autodesk should have resolved it by now.

Why should Autodesk solve this - it is not their problem. Your problem, you are running on an unsupported OS.

Not Microsoft problem. Your problem.  You agreed that you are running an OS that Microsoft does not support.

How is this an Autodesk problem when Microsoft doesn't support the IP OS.

I think you might be in luck...

Have you installed the latest IP build (see information in thread below).

I had this issue, for me it was the docking station (with a couple of extra monitors attached), Fusion 360 would not start at all it would attempt a start and then stop - nothing in the task manager. Unplugging the docking station - start it and then plug back in again is a workaround. - not ideal !

When I tired to shut it down the program crashed and freezed my computer, so I uninstalled it. it. Now is it not working again after downloading a new one. I did also clean all the folders before installing for the second time. Please kindly assist me. Thank you!

Hey there,

For me the Fusion screens appear, then it disappears very quickly, and then there is nothing. I have tried all the troubleshooting, still nothing. The clean uninstall link won't download, even by using another browser. Is there anything else I should try before I put my fist through my screen ? hehe  Thank you in advance.

No actual solutions here then. As for 'unsupported OS', I'm running Win 8.1 (which IS supported! btw) and my Fusion360 installation stopped running right after MS auto-updated the OS. So it could be time for a complete reinstall of the OS and all the other progs including Fusion 360, but I won't get my hopes up!

Too bad MS doesn't provide the option to roll back on its so-called updates when so many of them are just more patches on top of earlier patches, hence their need to produce allegedly 'better' versions of their OS.

Perhaps we users of 'Win-doze' should be billing MS with a class action for the downtime they cause with said updates and we then stop supporting them by migrating to another OS altogether...
