Fusion 360 very slow on startup and command map has server error

Today Fusion 360 takes a long time to start. Then Command map has a 502 bad gateway error as shown in photo. Cannot open large files and small ones take a long time to open. Unable to work today. The only way to close the software is to end task in task manager.

I've checked the internet, network and other applications and all is good. Computer is up to date.

Is there a Fusion outage that's not on the health dashboard?

Hi,

Thanks for posting. This is just coming to our attention and we're working on this.

To work around this you need to ensure Command Map is not running and does not try to start when Fusion starts.

If Fusion is offline you should be able to change the setting in the Addins manager such that Command Map does not run automatically when Fusion starts up.

Let me know if you have questions or need help with it. I'll return to give an update when this is solved.

Thanks,

I'm having the same problem. Cant disable the command map to do the work around as the program stops responding during the process.

Have you tried manually disconnecting your computer from the internet to force Fusion offline?

I had to disconnect from internet and open fusion. It will start in offline
mode.

Go to the tools tab.

Open scripts and add-ins.

Select the add-ins tab.

Uncheck the run on startup box at the bottom.

Close Fusion.

Connect to Internet and start Fusion.

Should be good now

Thanks followed your path and it did the trick.
The command map was a pain anyway I always shut it down.

I had this issue too and followed above to fix.. Was completely dead in the water though because of this.. maybe AutoDesk should mail users when these types of critical errors happen..

Addins in Fusion must be uninstalled using the OS uninstaller. They are separate applications outside of Fusion.

The issue is reported to be fixed now. If you like command map you can keep it installed and Fusion will launch normally again.

Hi, that's a good suggestion. I would note that in this case the fault and solution were provided faster than we could have written an email. We're going to look at methods to prevent a failure like this and avoid the need to email everyone.

Do you find the problem solved now?

Thanks Phil
Well it's up and running but I have not dared to go anywhere near the command map again.
That said I don't plan to use it anymore anyway.

I don't see it on the appstore, and it was an internally developed app. All I know is this is all deliberate. It must not be supported or supportable any longer. Sorry for the inconvenience.
