fusion 360 very slow at specific file

Hey!

I have a random problem

I'm using fusion360 on my laptop, and it works like a charm (usually).

currently im working on a project with lots of imported stl's (converted to brep) and fusion crashes constantly, even when hiding the high poly bodys.

I'm using a lenovo l340

windows 10

intel 9300HF

nvidia geforce 1050

8gb ram

you can see in my screencast what happens when i try to make a sketch on a basic body with everything else hidden. Usually, with smaller but more detailed models fusions works perfectly fine.

can someone explain what is wrong with my settings or file?

You can download the file here

Thanx!

Hey g.d.vegter,

Converting the STLs to Breps is most likely giving you way more geometry than F360 can handle in its present state. When you use that tool, the solver just makes a solid out of all the triangulated faces.

You'll get much better results if you reconstruct the STL geometry into a new Brep. Here's a good tutorial on that:
