Fusion 360 Update running for long time.

I have been trying to install the latest Fusion update for a few days. It never seems to finish the update process. It's been running for about 26 hours this time.  Task manager shows it is still running and is 98% complete.  It has been at this point for several hours.  Any suggestions?

Hi @jeffmaxwellsd

I'm sorry you are experiencing this issue. Smiley Sad I'm not sure before see the log files. There would have many reasons like network, AV program or your system configuration. I remember that few AV programs don't allow to update Fusion 360. Could you share your log file? Here is how to get the log file.

This is how to configure AC software

On top of that, you can solve this through a clean uninstallation.

This is a clean uninstallation program and Link to download Fusion

I hope this will help.

I look forward to your reply!

Many thanks,

Ahreum.

Ahreum,

If I do a clean uninstall and then reinstall Fusion will all my files still be available to me?   I do not want to lose all the work I put into those drawings and model files.

Thanks for your help.

@jeffmaxwellsd

Thank you for sharing your log file. I've found few error messages

WARNING :: Read operation error: [WinError 10054] An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host... recovering

WARNING :: Exception in Update This process failed because of another installer cross process live update in process

WARNING :: Failed to extract to \\ \***\USER\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\0c6c8be812b2dce050a3457de4077e03313640ae\FusionDocStream\Autodesk\FusionDocAcad\AcLineType.dll: Process Aborted

**Edit***

It seems that there is a streamer delegate communication error and there should have an exception handling in our program so that they will be investigating it.

To resolve this issue, please close (kill) all fusion related processes, such as “FusionLauncher.exe”, “Fusion360.exe” and “streamer.exe”. then should reinstall and then reinstall again.

This is a clean uninstallation program and Link to download Fusion

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Fusion 360 is a cloud based system so all of your modes are uploaded on A360 site. you are able to check whether your models are in https://myhub.autodesk360.com/

You can see your model on your machine as well. so you can make a backup file. (but we can only see the files saved within 60 days)

Many thanks,

I tried running the clean uninstall program and it does not seem to do anything.  It shows up as a process in task manager.

Fusion360 cleaner.exe *32 is the process that is running.  I let it run for 20 minutes or so and it did not remove any files.

How long should it have to run to uninstall fusion?

thanks

Jeff

I also do not get the dialog boxes when I start the cleaner program.  Seems like nothing is happening at all.

I finally uninstalled the internet security software that I was running on my computer and replaced with a different program and all is well with Fusion 360 again. Thanks for your help.
