Fusion 360 Update Function

Hello

I work for a small college and we are interested in running Fusion 360 on our computers. However, we noticed in the product details it says Fusion 360 will update ever 6 weeks. Is there anyway we can turn that off? Our network and image system can't handle trying to adapt to changes to software on a 6 week basis. We normally don't update software until the school year is over, to keep our system stable and predictable.

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Fusion community! That's awesome to hear that you guys are looking into getting Fusion into your computers!

With the lab install for Fusion, there are two types of updates - updates that should be installed and updates that must be installed. The difference between these two updates is described in the attached PDF document explaining lab installs.

Basically what it comes down to though is the updates that must be installed contain changes to the way designs are saved on the cloud and the updates that should be installed do not.

Interesting information! Thanks for the response! As a school, we don't plan on using the cloud features on Fusion 360, so the required updates might not be a problem for us.
