Fusion 360 Surface body won't become solid after all edges are stitched

Hi,

I'm having trouble with stitching my body back together. I have a sculpted body to which I want to add a small chamfer/slope using surfaces. I created the new surfaces and unstitched the solid body. The problem I'm having is that when I try to stitch everything back together, all edges are stitched correctly, but the body won't convert to solid. I also tried looking for unstitched points or holes in the surface body, but couldn't find any. Can you tell me what is keeping this body from converting to solid.

I have created a selection set for the lofted surfaces I try to merge to the original solid body.

All help would be appreciated,

Thank you

After the second split you need to delete the surfaces not just patch over them. See attached file.

PS it would be best practice to fix the warning in the timeline.

Thank you very much!

Now it seems quite obvious, I don't know why I didn't delete those faces. The warning in the timeline is just because I took this component to a separate file from a larger design, and that loft uses some guide rails from a component in the original design to match the curvature of another body.

Thank you for your help.
