FUSION 360 SONOMA

I installed some months ago the new mac software called Sonoma, which in your webpage says it is coming soon the support, but I would like to know if there is any kind of patch to use Fusion while the new support is ready. Thank you.

@scombarros There is no patch of any sorts. We know of many customers that have already moved to Sonoma and using Fusion without any issues. Officially from Autodesk it is going to be a bit more time before we cn officially certify it for Sonoma.

Thank you for answering! What do you recommend me to do?

@scombarros Not going to be a very definitive answer but what is best for your business. You do not want to be in a position where you upgraded and there is something that is blocking your business.

Internally, we split our Mac to multiple partitions and have one macOS version per partition etc. Not saying you to go down this path but that could be your backup. Essentially before you upgrade the macOS make sure you have a backup if for any reason you are going to be blocked from using Fusion.

Hello, I happen to have a problem after upgrading my Mac to Sonoma... Fusion quits immediately after launching. @RajkumarIlanchelian Do you have any knowledge if there is going to be an update for Fusion to fix common issues?

@robertwojtys Although we are quite close to an official support for Sonoma, we have had many customers and also internal testing where we know Sonoma is working.

1. When Fusion quits does it show any crash error report to submit to Autodesk? If so do you send them in and can you tell me a report ID?

2. If you go to launchpad - Fusion service utility - Run a repair of Fusion - Start Fusion again - If the same problem happens - from the Service utility run Gather system info and attach the Fusiondiagosticslog.zip files in here.

1. I can only send a report to Apple. It shows after few seconds after clicking Fusion icon.
2. I get the same error after launching Fusion Service Utility

@robertwojtys Can you please completely uninstall Fusion and re-install it again? I assume you already had Fusion, then updated macOS and then launching Fusion is crashing, right?

@RajkumarIlanchelian

Yes, I've updated iOS, updated Fusion, since I couldn't update it on a previous version of iOS, and then after updating Fusion it stared to crash while launching.
I did it few times, didn't help 😞 That's why I guess I will have to wait for the newest Fusion version.

@robertwojtys I am not sure if a newer version is what is needed here. Curious to find out why this is crashing when we have so many other instances of Fusion running well on our internal Mac machines.

Here is a link to manually collect log files. https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-manually-co...

1. Can you collect the install logs and the application logs please?

It is really weird because I don't see any Autodesk folder at my disk.. Only Fusion360 icons - for the app, the uninstaller and service utility... I will reinstall it once again, clear caches and let you know about the result
