Fusion 360 - So you say I have 2 weeks of offline work? Not really

I updated my PC last week, reinstalled fusion, i tried every possible thing i could find here on the forum, it worked the day after the update on offline mode, today, after 4 days it doesn't start, i can wait for weeks for it to start. Today i left, i wanted to try some cuts, but couldn't 😭

Hi, I'd like to help. I also have a question.

Can you tell me why you work offline, and expect to do so for two weeks? I ask, because after setting the offline switch in Fusion, and closing Fusion, it is possible to break the login workflow by logging into any other Autodesk account on this machine. Do you think that happened?

Working offline also prevents you from saving your progress as design versions in the cloud. Sometimes this is useful. I just wanted to point out that by not saving your design to the cloud, you cannot access it from any other machine.

Have you tried using the Fusion 360 Service Utility? Try the reset option first, and if that doesn't help, try the repair option. Please let me know if that helps.

Hi, thank you for your interest to help.

Well, the short answer is simple, i don't have an internet connection were i work.

It is possible to just connect my phone to that PC and get a slow internet, but I'm using a prepaid sim, with only 3gb of data. I did that last month, and that 3gb went poof in 10 min. I had 10 designs in the cloud, fusion updated and so on.

Using mobile data is as i said slow and can get expensive really quick.

Taking that PC with me every time is not really an option, its kinda annoying, but it's ok if I do that every 2 weeks.

So, saving progress is not really a necessity, the design basically never changes once i made it, and if changes it's not that important. Saving manufacturing progress it's not a must, sure it's nice, but not a must.

Now, if that PC doesn't get any connection after the update, how can logging into another PC affect that offline one. Makes no sense to me.

Anyways, i do not really know what you mean with fixing or restoring fusion. So it would be nice if you could point me in the right direction.

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

I was saying that while Fusion is offline, on the same machine, if you log into a different Autodesk account. Did you do that? Doesn't sound like you have more than one Autodesk account, so I'm going to guess no.

To run the service utility, so Fusion will start again, use the instructions I provided.

Starting with the computer where Fusion doesn't launch, invoke the service utility to reset or repair Fusion.

So, i tried, but no luck. Fusion service utility doesn't launch either. Apparently it has to be online too.

That's so stupid 😮💨
