I work for a radiator company. They used AutoCAD for years. They recently invested in a paperless system, to try to cut back on costs. We use Fusion 360 because of the price per performance. I use just about every single part of Fusion. We couldn't be happier with functionality of the software. The draw back has now come to searching for drawings. We have approx 1,000 different part numbers. Along with 1,000s of customers with custom jobs. They want to centralize a means to easily find drawings. Allowing operators, fabricators, machinists, and welders to view the drawings on a tablet, instead of paper drawings. The browser seems to be the best way to search for things. The software will allow external links to part numbers. My biggest issue is performance of the searches. Is it still forbidden to host your own server? Any one with experience upgrading a business from paper, to electronics?
