Hello,
I need help because Autodesk support has been unhelpful and they even suggested that I post here if I need more help.
- Case: 23841149
- A little over a month back I was faced with renewal of my Fusion 360 Legacy subscription. The renewal price was $545/seat and I had two seats. This is a lot more than what I originally paid a couple years back, but fine.
- I needed to reduce seats to one. When I went online to reduce seats I was unable to do so.
- I contacted support. They called me. They said they would take care of it. They later said they couldn't fix it and I had to buy two seats with no explanation.
- I didn't need two seats and I wasn't going to pay for two seats. I kept fighting with support getting no where and it expired.
- I still have work to do so I was forced to buy a new subscription with renewal at $680/year. I hoped that Autodesk would eventually do the right thing and fix whatever happened.
- I have been going back and fourth with support over email and phone calls for over a month and I am getting absolutely no where. sometimes they contact me and say "so I understand you want help adding seats?" or some other issue while completely ignoring the entire email chain.
- I have asked over and over and over again to elevate my case, for manager support, for a US person. I never get anywhere.
- They finally told me that the reason I couldn't reduce seats was because I was on Legacy and apparently that's not allowed. They insisted. Several emails of back and fourth. I asked over and over again for documentation and they would never provide and they just told me that's how it is.
- Finally, they just proudly emailed me this: https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Fusion-Industry-Cl...
- This article says that as of January 30, 2024 Legacy customers would stay at $310 (I was at $545, what?).
- It also says that current, non-Legacy, subscribers will remain at $490, unless you expire, until renewal in 2027.
- Since I was forced to get a new license I am on the new pricing at $680 renewal.
I don't have words to describe how frustrating this has been. I used to LOVE Autodesk. I have convinced hundreds of people to buy or switch to Autodesk over the years. I love the student license model (I had to pay for CAD as a student back in the day), and I think Fusion, despite its problems, is going somewhere.
But this is ridiculous.
