Fusion 360 on MacBook suddenly will not remember its window size, position or display it should launch on.

I have tried to establish whether this is a Fusion360 or MacBook problem before asking here.

It has been fine for 2 years until very recently, after an update I believe. I had an issue with the app grinding to a halt. I rebooted the Mac and since then it refuses to launch on the designated display or remember the window size or position.

It is the only app on the entire system which is misbehaving like this, which is why I am now tending towards Fusion, rather than OSX or Apple Mission Control as the culprit.

I have done a clean reinstall. Since when I have tried deleting the plist file in library/preferences. All to no avail.

It's a shot in the dark, I know. But if this issue rings a bell with anyone, I would be so grateful for a potential solution. It is driving me nuts suddenly having to move the app from my MacBook screen to my Thunderbolt Display, and resize and position it every time I launch.

Many thanks

Thanks for your report @david.oldridge! I can reproduce this issue - it is Fusion application behavior.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions in terms of figuring out the culprit.

That then begs the questions: a: why is it suddenly doing it? b: more importantly, is there anything I can do to resolve it?

@lance.carocci Sorry to to prompt again, following your initial response. But do you have any kind of solution to this?

Many thanks

Aside from issues involving the need to login each time, we are experiencing similar problems.

On my dual screen win10 machine, window opens 'floating' on monitor 1. Login, move Fusion to monitor 2 and maximize. Exit program at end of day. When launched the following day, same problem - smaller window on monitor 1, etc.

Fellow machinist using Fusion has program open full screen, but now always on Monitor 1, even though the previous day, he minimized it, moved it to monitor 2 and then maximized. If he shuts down at night, next day has to move it again from monitor 1 to 2.

@david.oldridge, based on my investigation so far, it will likely need a code fix/client update to address.

@lance.carocci Ah, ok. Thank you for the heads up. As it was working before I assume it got broken in the last update.
