I have the personal version of Fusion 360 and recently did an update to an add-in that I have (guitar engine) and then I got this error.

 I went back and deleted the files and I am no longer seeing the error when I launch Fusion but now fusion will not respond

 I have even uninstalled Fusion and re-installed and same thing...is there a way I can delete these add-ins from the auto desk admin site?  Any suggestions would be great.

 

Please help!

Hey!

 

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with Guitar Engine.  I'm actually the creator and noticed an update or two ago to Fusion 360, it would cause this error.  As you mentioned, I had to go back and either delete or rename any folder I had with an outdated version of GE.  I'm not sure why the Fusion 360 update caused this, I was even getting errors from versions of GE that weren't even installed at the time.  

Where you able to solve this?  My only immediate suggestion would be to completely delete GE from your system and try a fresh install again.  If this is still an issue you can try going into the Guitar Engine folder, finding the .manifest file and changing:

"runOnStartup":	true,

to

"runOnStartup":	False,


For some reason, 'false' won't work so you need to make sure the F is capitalized.  This will cause an addin to not run at startup.  Let me know if you need further assistance!

Hey I was able to resolve. I believe we got to speak through messenger...you were very helpful. I uninstalled fusion and then reinstalled it. I have not used GE yet but plan on it soon. I will check and make sure the old add-in is gone first.
