Hi.  Did this just start happening suddenly?  Does it occur on every file you open or a specific file?  Have you made sure you are using the latest version of your video card driver?

Thanks Brad - yes it seems to have escalated in the last couple of weeks.

I went in and pulled the latest nvidia drivers so now on 522.25

It's been crashing constantly so will know tomorrow if this had an effect.

Are crash reports created when this happens? Have you submitted them? If so, under which e-mail address?

It would be useful to have more details -- or even a video -- about what you are doing when this happens.

Thanks,

  Jeff

Not sure if multiple issues are in play here. But you can try to turn off *In-Process Stock* in the CAM Preferences for now and see if this helps.

Would you be able to attach a Fusion project where this crash occurs?

The crash reports show that it is crashing while calculating In-Process Stock (IPS).  As a workaround, you can do what fonsecr days and turn off "Automatic In-Process Stock Generation".  It's in the Manufacture workspace in the "Actions" group under the "Utilities" tab.  You will need to do this before you open your f3d file.

If you want to try to find the toolpath that is causing problems, you can open the Task Manager, then turn on IPS generation.  You will see which toolpath it is doing when it crashes.  You might be able to make a small adjustment to that toolpath (or the one right before it) to avoid the crash.  If you attach your project, I might be able to help with that.

I was going to post a message when I saw this thread.

I am having the same issue and it has also been more frequent in the last week.
It seems to be happening when I go to edit a tool path in manufacturing.

I have sent in a couple reports, latest one was just now. ID# 332525332

From the crash report, it seems like this is something that is affecting a handful of people. It could have been introduced a few months ago, and pops up under certain circumstances. We think we know what we can do to avoid it, but if you have consistent steps to make it happen, that would be very helpful.

From the report, it seems to happen when clicking on a toolpath operation, which is supposed to bring up the log window for the operation. Does that sounds reasonable?

Thanks,

  Jeff

To answer "jeff.pek" question, yes it seems to constantly happen when I go to edit a tool operation.
Further more this a older part and program. I was trying to edit the program to make the part again.

But it was also happening on another part that was recently imported. I would get two or three tool operations in go to edit one and it would crash.

I did seem to find a temporary fix.
I found that if I export the file as a step and reimported it, it now allows me to work on it.

The only issue with this is I have to start over on a 5 operation program.

Hmm. That doesn't seem to line up with the most recent crash report referenced above. If you can make this happen, are you able to share a video of it happening?

Thanks,

  Jeff

Let me know if this works or not.
There is another report at the end of the video.

Thank you, that was interesting. It kind of looked like you had first clicked on the operation icon, and then quickly clicked (right, or left) on the operation name.

I think there's a chance that this could result in the sort of crash that matches up with the reports you submitted.

Thanks for sharing the video. We've opened ticket CAM-40709 to track it.
