Fusion 360 MAC/PC Versions out of sync ... error opening files?

I have installed Fusion 360 both on Mac and PC.

 

Mac shows "Fusion 360 2.0.15509 x86_64 [Rosetta 2]", Pc shows "Fusion 360 2.0.15050 x86_64".

 

When I try to open a file I worked on my Mac in Windows I get an error that the file can not be opened.

 

Is it because the versions are out of sync? How to solve? Can I force update Windows version? It does not show an update ...

2.0.15509 is on a newer schema than the 2.0.15050. This means designs saved in the newer version is not backwards compatible with older Fusion versions. I know the message is not clear on this but once you update your Windows to 2.0.15509 this should all work correctly.

Yes ...that is what I thought as well.

 

My problem is ... I can not update the Windows Version? It tells me it is up-to-date not showing any updates?

Ok I solved it by redownloading Fusion 360. Seems like it was stuck on an old version. Now it works!
