Fusion 360 keeps hanging after Mac wakes from energy saving

I can see from research that this is an issue going as far back as 2015, but I cannot find any "eureka!" solution.

Probably 1 in 4 or 5 times that I return to an open project later in the day or the following morning - after it has been asleep - Fusion 360 hangs.

The large activity dialog (showing what i had exported etc) opens in the middle of the screen and it reacts correctly to being clicked to close. However, the warning dialog in the top right "You are not connected to the internet. Fusion 360 will be back online when connectivity is restored. You can continue to work in offline mode" cannot be closed. And no, work cannot continue in offline mode. Nor can the program be closed.

I am in fact perfectly well connected to the internet and every other app is working fine. But the only way to close Fusion is to force shutdown the Mac

Of course when I reboot the Mac and reopen Fusion, i have the option to open a recover file for the project and I'm never quite sure which is the best option there, as in what the recovery option actually captured and when.

I keep sending the crash reports, but I don't know to what end.

I would be grateful for any thoughts from anyone who has managed to cure themselves of this issue.
