Fusion 360 is very slow if I open it offline

Hi, I am Philip Easterday and I am having problems working with fusion 360 in off line mode. I am running a mac and fusion 360 preforms well if I open it while i am connected with the internet. From there I can Disconnect the internet and performance is still just as good. But if I close it down and reopen it offline everything loads very slow and is impractical to use. Any suggestions ?

Hello Philip,

I am sorry to hear that Fusion is working slowly for you in offline mode. Could you help us diagnose the problem by sending us your log files?

Here are the instructions for doing so: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...

You can either attach the zip file here or send it to me directly at saket dot satta at autodesk dot com.

Thanks,

Saket Satta

Thank you Philip for the logs. I have examined them but I don't see anything obvious that would cause the problem you experience. Now we are trying to reproduce the problem internally.

I will get back to you with our findings.

Hello Philip,

We have tried to reproduce this on different mac machines with the exact steps you mentioned but have been unable to see the same thing you saw so far.

Also Fusion outputs the time required to be in a ready state in its logs and your logs had that time around 10 seconds when starting in offline mode. Since that metric seems to be reasonable we believe the problem might be something to do with your particular installation.

If you continue to see the same problem can you please try reinstalling Fusion after following these instructions: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...

Thanks,

Saket Satta

Hi

Philip again

I ran the auto clean file and reinstalled fusion 360 but the problem persists.

One other thing I noticed to include to the initial description is that once you have opened it offline

and is very slow, connecting it to the internet and switching it to online mode still doesn't fix the problem

until you close it down and reopen it. Hope that helps.

thanks for the patience,

Philip

Hello,

I have the same problem. But I would extend the problem as not very slow, it is unusable slow. I open Fusion 360, the window loads up in 1-2 min how ever after the usual window appeared the cursor shows loading state and after 30min still loading. After it is loaded I open a modell and again I need to wait 5-10 min to be responsive again. Currently the internet provider has a blackout in the internet service so there is no internet on my machine. But I cannot work in the tool because it is unusable. I am using a Windows 10 machine. Any fix about this? I am paying for the subscription and planning to use the Fusion360 long term. I hope you can fix the offline mode. It is really annoying.
