Fusion 360 install stops with BitDefender virus notice

I am a full subscription user. I had an auto-update on Fusion 360 (Mac OS 11.6.7) and BitDefender flagged a virus signature and deleted the file. I did a full removal of Fusion and downloaded the latest Fusion 360 Client Downloader.dmg. Again BitDefender flagged a virus and aborted the install. BitDefender message is:

An infected file attempted to run on your device.
Threat name: Generic.Trojan.WorMiner.1.2C987D0E
Path: /Volumes/Autodesk Fusion 360 Installer/Install Autodesk Fusion 360.app/Contents/Resources/resources/scripts/windows/delayed_purge.wsf
We deleted the file to prevent malicious commands from being executed on your device.

Any word on others with the problem? I hope it's a false positive. I submitted the dmg file to BitDefender.

Ho scaricato oggi l'installer e risulta pulito. Meno male.

Quick update. I sent the installer and wsf file to BitDefender. I didn't hear back but there was an update to BitDefender and the problem went away so I assume it was a false positive and has been corrected.

Può darsi, ma ti faccio presente che avevo controllato anche l'installer per Windows con il suo antivirus, Defender, ed anche lì mi dava la presenza del troyan ed anche i vari siti antivirus online (virustotal). Comunque contento che si sia  risolto. 🙂
