Hi Team

I am using Inventor since last 6 years.

Now I am trying to get around Fusion and try to open it. I got a message it needs update, but in my portal there is message  or option to update?

Please guide me on how to update?

Also give an idea, how is the fusion compared to inventor for product design?

Thanks

Unless your Fusion 360 version is very old, you will do the update from the Fusion 360 design window.  The Screencast will show you where to look.  Fusion 360 is a good tool for designing but lacks some functionality that you probably got used to in Inventor.  You will particularly notice this in the 2D Drawing environment and somewhat less in Sheet Metal.  Compare the cost of each will give you an idea why Fusion 360 is attractive.

Edit: If you do not see the little "1" for the update, you will have to reinstall the application but you do not have to uninstall the older version.

Hi John,

Thanks for your response.

I got installed the latest version. Is there any text book  you recommend to learn more about Fusion?

Is this have Finite element analysis features?

Thanks

There are books on Fusion 360 but since the application is involving so fast, they quickly become outdated. Your best best is to look under Help and find the online getting started tutorials.

Fusion 369 has a Simulation environment, depending on your license, which will probably serve your finite analysis needs.
