Hello. The problem is basically that. Sometimes as soon as it starts up, sometimes after a bit, but Fusion 360 freezes my entire OS and forces me to hard reboot the PC.
My PC has the following characteristics:
- Type: laptop.
- Modeol: MSI GP62 2QE Leopard Pro
- SO: Windows 10 Pro - 20H2
- CPU: Intel Core I7 5700HQ
- Dedicated GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M - Driver: GeForce Game Ready 466.27
- Integrated GPU: Intel HD Graphics 5600 - Driver: 20.19.15.4531
- RAM: 1x8GB DDR3 1600MHz
I have reinstalled Fusion 360 2 times, one of them following the guide to perform a clean uninstall of everything that had to do with Autodesk, but it has not improved anything.
Doing different tests, I think that the failure may have to do with the graphics drivers, since the failures happen even with nothing else running and with plenty of RAM left. I may be wrong but it is the conclusion that I have drawn.
The main test that makes me think this is the problem is that if I go to Device Manager and disable the Intel HD Graphics drivers, Fusion 360 works normally.
However, I cannot do this permanently, since when I disable the controller, the laptop's HDMI port is also disabled and forces me to work only with the laptop's own screen. This is why I have continued to do some tests, but without much success.
Configuring the nvidia driver and from the windows itself to force Fusion 360 to use the GTX 950M I imagined it would work, and it seemed that it was but it has failed again.
In this situation, I don't know what more options I have, since disabling the Intel driver seems like it's not one because I need my second screen. Maybe reinstalling Windows will help?
I would appreciate any help or possible options if you think I'm making a mistake and it has nothing to do with those drivers.
