Fusion 360 for Education Usage Limits Exceeded

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello, I cannot create a new project in fusion360. I am on a student account, which I thought would give me access for 3 years. I've been bounced around to 3 different help lines at this point. The error I get when I try to create a new project is: "Operation Failed. Usage Limits
Exceeded"

I am receiving this same error as well, I'm not sure if it relates to the upgrade

@Anonymous I suspect you're running into that issue because you are currently running a trial of Autodesk Fusion 360. Is this the case?

Thanks,

@innovatenate I got the license popup and put it under the "student/education" license, does this only count as a trial and stay limited to 2 projects? Does the startup/enthusiast license allow more projects? I'd fall under either license terms

Is there a way to tell if it is running as a trial? (Fusion 360 on Mac)

Thanks,

Steven

Thanks for the update. Student/EDU subscription should not limit your projects.

I still see the Autodesk Account still doesn't reflect the student license. You can log into manage.autodesk.com to review this.

Let me check with the back office team to see if we can find anything wrong with the entitlement system. I circle back with an update early next week.

Thank

thanks @innovatenate

I have looked in the account management screen, and it does not seem to have anything relevant in the management page under either products, updates or trials.

I can't see anywhere within either Fusion 360 or the website to change/manage the fusion licenses. The only time there was anything was when it said the trial had expired. (I may be missing something that seems very simple and obvious once you know the trick, and I'm just overlooking it)

Thank you for looking into this further

I think we have it sorted out now. Can you try again and let me know if you have any issues?

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

Can you please go to the help menu, collect your diagnostic log files, and post them here? Also, can you please visit A360 and try to sign in. Do you get an error? Are you able to create a new project? Take screenshots of any error messages that occur.

Thanks,

I get the same message, first try and was planning to go the "Fusion Mastery" tutorial but I cannot create a new project. Get fail message "Usage Limits Exceeded", I have not a student account since I'm not a student but the "1 yr free" for personal use (which is what I plan for).

Any help? Can log in to 360 drive and have no files there (0 byte used). All seems to work fine but starting a new project...

Regards,

Anders, Sweden

@missyenia

It probably would have been best to start a new thread as this doesn’t sound like the same issue (license type).

Can you go to http://manage.Autodesk.com and post screen shot verifying that you have an Education license?

Do you have two Usernames?

If you Logout of Fusion and then Login with your edu Username does the license change?
