Hey!

I've been working on an aircraft model for a few months now and have never had an issue opening it in Fusion 360. Yesterday i went to open the file however there was a rotating blue circle inside the dashboard icon and it could not be opened. I looked online and was told to clear the cache files and restart. This removed the blue circle but when I went to open it, it crashed Fusion after a minute of trying to load, which has never happened before. All other files open without any issues.

Next I promoted a previous version but this crashed Fusion in the same way as before. I am able to open the file in the desktop viewer but when I downloaded the file from the desktop and imported it into Fusion, I ran into the same problems as before.

I should point out that I haven't made any changes to the model in weeks. I have been rendering the aircraft but have opened and closed the software multiple times since the last change with no issues. The issue has also not resolved after multiple restarts.

If anyone has run into this problem before I would really appreciate it as the aircraft model has hundreds of hours onto it and is for my senior aerospace engineering design class. I can try to answer or provide any information you might need to help me out with this.

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting!

Are you able to access your file through myhub.autodesk360.com? If so are you able to click edit on desktop? What happens when you try to do this- does Fusion crash?

When Fusion crashes are there any error reports/messages that you see? Are you sending in any crash reports?

Can you also post the file here as well as your diagnostic log files?

Thanks!

Hey Julia! Thanks for responding.

I tried editing it in the desktop however the page became unresponsive a few seconds after launching, similar to fusion 360 before it crashes. I tried editing in the desktop a second time and left it open overnight to see if it would work itself out however that did not happen.

The files you requested are attached.
Thanks again!

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for attaching your design file and your logs!! This is super helpful.

I was able to reproduce Fusion becoming unresponsive and have logged this as a corrupted file. I will get back to you with any updates!

Thanks,
