Fusion 360 fails pre-check during installation Unable to connect to network

I am trying to install Fusion 360 for the first time on my W10 PC.  It fails at the same place every time. At the Autodesk Application Streaming window it says "The following installation pre-checks failed to pass. In order to ensure Fusion installs correctly, it is recommended to address these issue before proceeding.  Unable to connect to Network. Please check the connection."

At this point I have selected "retest" and the screen updates, but nothing ever changes after that and I can only stop the stream.exe app in task manager to get the installation to cancel.

My internet is fine and I am having no other problems with my network.

I have fully updated my Windows installation to the latest patches, etc.

I have restarted multiple times, tried installing with only the fusion installation package running.

I have shut down my AV and web category blocker.

I have gone into my user's appdata\local and deleted the autodesk folder. (it does create this every time I try to install)

I have no VPN or proxy services running.

I have been running TinkerCAD in the cloud, but I am not sure that has anything to do with this issue.

I have attached a copy of the installation screen.

If anyone has any other recommendations, I would appreciate hearing them.

Thanks,

--Leon

If you are connected to the internet, during installation, using Wi-Fi, then drag out a network cable, hook yourself directly to your router and try again.

Any other suggestions or insight to this product failing to install?

Apparently there is not any support available for this issue.  Everything I see on the autodesk web says run the network diagnostic tool that comes when you install Fusion 360. So since I can't install it, I seem to be without any diagnostic tools. It is funny that I can run Tinkercad without any issues online, but can't even install 360. At this time I guess I will research other products for my upcoming projects.

Also if anyone has a way to dl and run the network diagnostic tool without having to install 360, please let me know.

The Fusion 360 Service Utility has a Network Diagnostic tool built in and can be run using a few methods, one of these being outside a Fusion 360 application.  Look at the attached webpage, look down to the last method under Windows where you can run it from the Command line.

@jhackney1972 ,  Thanks for at least the suggestion.  Yes, I have reviewed this page several times. unless you read it differently than I do, it is not about running the utility before you install F360. It is about running it after it is installed. Please correct me otherwise. See the instructions below.  I have googled and searched many times about how to DL a utility that will trouble shoot the network before installing to no avail.  The command line in this approach doesn't do that. I have also tried to install F360 from a command line and it does the same thing I have originally posted about. Just to be clear, the only executable I have is the "Fusion 360 Client downloader.exe" program.

Ok, my misunderstanding.  One question, have you "temporarily" completely disabled your Anti-Virus and Windows Firewall to see it this makes a difference.  You have said you are using a hard wired Ethernet connection, is this directly to your Router?  I am hardwired as well but I hook into a WiFi extender which is not the same.

Just some ideas.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

I have turned off AV, local firewall (Defender), categorical web filtering, etc.  This connection is 100% hard wired, no Wifi bridges, to the router.

I decided to install F360 on my laptop which uses the exact same AV and web filtering (not just brand specific, but the exact same setup/configuration as my desktop).  Also it uses Windows Defender. But it is using the Wifi connection in my study that is attached to the same hard wiring as my desktop.  It installs and runs but gives me a warning about the built in video graphics drivers limiting performance.  Of course I don't want to run this on my laptop, so I was just testing my "network connections" not being the problem as the install program says on my desktop, IMO. So it appears that the AV, web filtering and firewall are not issues on my desktop (most likely).

So that leaves me thinking the issue is more localized to my desktop. I do not have a 3rd party graphics card on the desktop, I am running off the Intel integrated video on the CPU which is sufficient for my simple and limited graphics needs, imo, just as my laptop's intel graphics CPU is also similar, but much less powerful CPU on the laptop. Also when I run Network Diagnostics on the laptop, it passes 100%.

So at this time, I am thinking that something local on my desktop that doesn't agree with F360's installation.  Also I did try running my desktop in Safe Mode with Networking and then installing F360 and got the same results as initially. I am not having any other program compatibility issues with my desktop, it is about 2 years old with Intel i7 processor, Intel UHD Graphics 630 video, 32mb of RAM on a ASUS MB with Intel chipset, 2TB NVME, Win10 with latest patches and updates.
