Fusion 360 .f3d compatibility and trueview

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello.

My name is Josh Walker and I work as a teacher in Penticton BC. I am trying to use Fusion 360 and encountering issues. A student has modeled something at home but cannot open their project here at the school. The message we receive is that we need to update our software. This will not happen. Our district's IT department is swamped.

With AutoCAD, there is the DWG Trueview converter to solve this problem. When a student models something at home, I have them run it through Trueview and then they can work on it here at school. But it doesn't seem like Trueview does that for .f3d files. Is there a similar software like Trueview for .f3d files?

Thank you very much.

Unfortunately no solid modelers allow saving to previous versions. Because of the timeline(history) any features that are enhanced in an update can't be backwards compatible to older versions of Fusion.
