Yesterday Fusion was running then i did a windows update. And now it gets stuck when i tried to start it. in the Processes tab i checked that there are no duplicates of the FusionLauncher and Autodesk Fusion 360 there is only one instance each. i updated my graphicscard drivers and reinstalled Fusion (i also used the fusion 360 cleaner) and i tryed to start fusion in the windows safer mode and as an administrator but the same thing happend that no splashscreen or error message appeared and fusion doesn't start.

i also cant roll back the windows update.

PLS help

With kind regards

Julius

Hi @julius.ewert1, let's start by collecting some information about your machine:

  1. What version and OS build of Win 10 are you on? You can find this by typing winver in the Start Menu search or Run prompt. For example, mine is Version 2004, Build 19041.423.
  2. Could you also please check the Windows Update history and note which updates were installed around the time this issue started? Note that updates are separated by category (Feature, Quality, Driver, Definition, Other), so you may need to check each section.
  3. Do you see the process adexmtsv.exe running while launching Fusion? (This is the executable for initializing the Materials Library at startup)

mouse51180_0-1597169018739.png

-I do not notice the adexmtsv.exe when trying to start my app.
- I ran the uninstall and clean uninstall scripts provided by Autodesk and reinstalled.  This is the log I get when I try to start the app now:
autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.log

Whenever Fusion suddenly doesn't want to start (after an update, or other program install), my go to is:
1. Uninstall Fusion through Windows' Add or remove programs
2. Run this tool: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...

3. Reboot

4. Reinstall fusion and hope for the best 🙂

I resolved my issue.  Turns out my issue was due to my docking station.  I have a DisplayLink UD-3900 docking station that connects my laptop to two monitors.
This apparently is a known issue with DisplayLink and they have a ticket open to correct this.

If my laptop monitor is not set as the primary display in the windows display settings...I have issues with 3d applications.  I have the problem with Fusion 360 and Prusa Slicer.

If I change the laptop monitor to the main display or unplug the docking station...the applications start right up...I thin plug the docking station back in and everything runs normal.
