fusion 360 crashed multiple times and deleted hours of progress, also takes way too long to load

My project is 224MB, proof is shown in the attachments below(big number in fifth column is file size in bytes) As I continue to work on the project this problem will only get worse

Improvements:

1) If fusion 360 crashes or if I force quit fusion there NEEDS to be a recovery document.

2) Fusion 360 takes WAY TOO LONG to load files. before it took me 10-20 MINUTES to load my file. Today it took me 40+ MINUTES and I don't think the file will ever load. Please fix it.

3) Please improve performance

Details:

The first time fusion crashed(or completely stopped working) was about a week or 2 ago. I was stuck with a FROZEN SCREEN for a long period of time and soon fusion used up ALL MY MEMORY. A pop-up menu appeared and I needed to force quit fusion. After opening the app all my progress was deleted because NO RECOVERY DOCUMENT WAS CREATED!!! I did not save a new version unfortunately. This was not the first time it happened, today the same thing happened AGAIN. The screen was frozen for about 30 MINUTES after executing the EXTRUDE COMMAND. Before that it already USED UP all my memory(43 GIGABYTES!!!!!!) but I decided to keep fusion open since I did not want the same thing to happen again. When I opened my computer again a few hours later I wasn't even on the same project anymore(blank untitled design). The DATA PANEL WAS COMPLETELY BROKEN(completely blank). I couldn't access the project(because the data panel was broken). I force quit the app and reopened it, only to find that it DIDNT CREATE A RECOVERY FILE and I LOST MY HOURS OF WORK.

The average wait time for each command I execute is 30 seconds-2 minutes. Sometimes it only takes a few seconds, but other times it takes 5-10 minutes. With thousands of features in the timeline and hundreds more to add, this is very painful(starting off with the project there was little to no lag, now it is an absolute hell to deal with the lag)

For some reason one of the solid bodies became a surface body. There are random faces extending from the rest of the body, and I needed to trim it off before I could stitch it back together

Note: I cannot attach the project file because it exceeds 71 MB

There is a way to create a recovery file manually:

Of course, if you use the save button to create a new version, that will also save your data.

Bottom line: don't work for hours without saving something.

It sounds like you are doing a design without any external references. The reason Fusion uses external references, basically just designs inserted into other designs, is to avoid having timelines with thousands of features. Is it possible for you to work with inserted components?

https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=ASM-INSERT-FUSION-DESIGN

From your screenshots, I don't see anything that looks like a large complex design. Can you share a little more about what you are trying to build?

the way I made it is very inefficient, that's why there is thousands of features. The basic design was completed with probably only a few hundred features. It isn't that complex, its just a toy gun. It has 6 components for the mechanism such as the trigger, vertical slider, plunger, cam and barrel, cam bar, the pullback thing, 2 cases, and I did a bunch of surface commands which didn't work well and took up over 1000 features. Every time I try to edit the design something causes fusion to run out of memory and delete my progress. If I try to save the design the same thing will happen, except now the design can't be opened because it doesn't save properly(and none of the previous versions can). and I need to create a copy of the version I had before.
