Fusion 360 bug when using 3dConnexion SpaceMouse Pro

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am using Fusion 360 with my 3dConnexion SpaceMouse Pro on Windows 10. The SpaceMouse is verified to work correctly using other software and 3dConnexion software. The settings for the SpaceMouse driver software has been reset to defaults. It is fine.

When in a newly started instance of Fusion 360, I load my project and start working with a 3d model. All works well. As soon as I enter sketch-mode, the SpaceMouse stops working correctly. When leaving sketch-mode, it still misbehaves. The only way to get it working again is to exit the application and restart it.

This is what happens:

1. All axes behave correctly

2. Enter sketch-mode

3. The "spin" function (twisting the 3d-mouse around, clock and anti-clock wise) now behaves as "roll" (tilting the cap left/right)

4. It is no longer possible to spin correctly, as both "spin" and "roll" acts as "roll".

This is insanely annoying as I cannot use my 3d-mouse effectively, as the alternative is to restart the application after each sketching session...

Hi,

This sounds like a terrible situation. When did it begin?

Can you please tell me what your 3Dconnexion driver version is?

Thanks,

Hi,

Are you still experiencing this bug? Or did you find a solution for it? If so can you please post it?

I am experiencing the same error with my 3D connection spacemouse (both with and without cable). My drivers are up to date with the latest version. Fusion 360 is up to date with the latest version. Windows is up to date with latest version. Everything is a clean install.

Should you still be having this issue, I also noticed that resetting to home via the cube in the right upper corner also resets the spacemouse to the expected behavior. So this way you do not need to restart the application but still, hitting home constantly gets annoying as well.
