You cannot stop this, this is the way Fusion 360 keeps track of component instances. If you Copy/Paste you will get the same component name with a :2 after it. If you Copy/Paste New, then is uses the name of the first component, plus the instance number and starts over with :1 appended to the name. By the way, this number only appears in the Browser, it does not appear in the Parts List placed in a drawing or in the Properties of the model. However the Version number does appear, if has one.
