How can I stop Fusion 360 from adding ":1" to the component name.

Thanks

You cannot stop this, this is the way Fusion 360 keeps track of component instances.   If you Copy/Paste you will get the same component name with a :2 after it.  If you Copy/Paste New, then is uses the name of the first component, plus the instance number and starts over with :1 appended to the name.  By the way, this number only appears in the Browser, it does not appear in the Parts List placed in a drawing or in the Properties of the model.  However the Version number does appear, if has one.
